Stories make things change. When you tell your story you are seen as a real person and not as a label. People can share your experience. We have used Storysharing to campaign against cuts in Disability Living Allowance, to restore our bus services, to show our Town Council what we want to happen in our environment. Co-told stories are a powerful way of campaigning.
Friends who can advocate for themselves can support those who communicate nonverbally.
